Superiorland Library Cooperative and the Peter White Public Library Announce a New Recording Booth February 16, 2022

The Superiorland Library Cooperative and the Peter White Public Library are thrilled to announce a new community resource. Thanks to Victoria E. Wolf, a recording booth was purchased with the goal of recording books written by local authors and/or about the Upper Peninsula. The booth has been installed on the second floor of PWPL, and equipment and furnishings were funded by Eunice Vandecaveye and the Jim Armstrong Memorial. While the booth is already used by Great Lakes Talking Books to record local books for the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, members of the community can also use it to meet their recording needs. It is available for checkout Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 10 am and 3:30 pm and is available for checkout on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 am. Users must be SLC cardholders and over the age of 14. Users will also need to complete a training, and signing up ahead of time is recommended. Please visit https://pwpl.info/recording-booth/ to learn more and/or sign-up. Contact the Reference Desk at refdesk@pwpl.info or 906-226-4311 if you have any questions.
