Deacon Benjamin Rivard to be ordained to priesthood June 4, 2021

Deacon Benjamin Rivard will be ordained to the priesthood at St. Peter Cathedral on Friday June 4, 2021 at 3 p.m. (Eastern) by Bishop John Doerfler. Deacon Rivard attended Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, and his home parish is All Saints, Gladstone. His parents are Jim and Michelle Rivard and he is the oldest of 10 children.

As he approaches his ordination, Deacon Rivard expressed his excitement. “Even though it has been a challenge learning how to minister as a deacon in the middle of a pandemic, the Lord has blessed me with a zealous love for ordained ministry. I can’t wait to be a priest!”
